On an average day, as alarm clocks were ringing and people were disrupted, by their clocks ringing near their beds. The frustration of being awakened while your beauty sleep was ongoing. But Jack, unlike the others, was wide awake preparing for a medical exam. For today, was an entrance exam for passing medical school. As Jack hastened to catch the bus to go to school, he stumbled upon an injured python which was lying unconscious on Grover Street. As birds started swarming above it, Jack took pity on the injured snake and sympathized with it. He then caught the bus and let the snake go. When Jack arrived at his destination, he couldn’t keep pondering about the snake that he saved. Now when he arrived at his class, it was the moment of truth, would he pass or not. His fingers trembled like buildings after an aftershock. He took a deep breath and began the test. Later that afternoon, he found out that he passed it. He jumped for joy! Several years later, he was a successful doctor who had a killer mustang! That night he saw a snake in his bedroom, that was the same snake who he helped all of those years ago. So whenever you hear a hiss in Dr. Jack’s house, it’s the snake who rested beside him.Sithara Manoharan
I haul a heavy and foul garbage bag into my truck. The smell is revolting! I pull on my mask and sigh. Today is my 502 kids’ birthdays, and I don’t have much money. I drive the truck to the dump. The smell there is even worse than the truck! I fling the bags. They land on heaping mountains of trash. I won’t miss them. I count how much money I have. Not much. I drive to the Dollar Store in my cardboard car. My children made it for me. The oil seeps through the cardboard. I push open the doors. There’s lots of bric-a-brac scattered all over shelves. The owner groans. He hates it when I come here to buy things for my kids. Well, that’s 1000 dollars down the drain. After I manage to fit hundreds of plastic bags into the car, I’m ready to hit the wheel when loud sirens blare. A monotonous voice says, “A nebula is near you. Watch out for the explosion!” Then my robo-python comes slithering to me. How in the world did he get here? He coils around my left arm and falls asleep. I swerve and dodge Saturn. Then I see it. A bright light flashes, getting hotter and hotter. Suddenly, it collapses into a black mass. The python, presents, and I get sucked in.
