Course Summary
This class will help students get a fundamental understanding of robotics and how to design a manipulator. Students will be able to assess their interest in robotics while having fun creating a 3D model from their own ideas. The software we will be using is Autodesk Inventor.
Instructions
- 1. Download Zoom on a personal device situated in a learning environment.
- 2. Click on the view calendar link located on the homepage or in the class dates section of your course. This will take you to a google calendar with the dates and times of all the classes.
- 3. Once you have registered, you will be sent the meeting ID and password for your class. Copy this information.
- 4. Go to Zoom and enter the meeting ID and password.
- 5. Please wait until the teacher accepts you into the class. If the teacher does not accept you after 5 minutes, please email brightscore.academy@gmail.com. The class is a total of 1 hour long.
Students will be introduced to robotics and the different programs offered. They will understand basic design and download software for future classes.
This class will delve into designing specific games. Students will learn the process of strategizing and designing sketches for manipulators.
This class will help students use animation software. Students will start using Inventor and create common parts of a manipulator.
Students will continue learning how to use CAD software by making day-to-day items.
This class will go deeper into designing using CAD. Students will learn common concepts used in robotics.
This class will recap all the previous classes. Students will be given a final project design to be presented in the last class.
This final class will have students presenting their designs. Students will have an opportunity to share and recieve ideas to help foster creativity.
