About
Rohith Karthik is a current sophomore at American Heritage High School. He is a participant on his school's math competition team as well as being involved in the Pre Med society where he currently holds an officer position. Rohith has played the piano for 8 years and was involved in competitive swimming from the ages of 7-12. He enjoys volunteering and looks forward to meeting new students and helping them learn and grow in their understanding of concepts.
Achievements
Rohith Karthik was the 2019 DTWT National Ambassador after writing an essay discussing the issue of gun violence. He has competed in Academic games competitions for five years having qualified as a State finalist all five years and qualifying as a National finalist twice, including top 10 finish at the National compeition in 2017. Rohith has competed in numerous chess tournaments since the age of 9. He has finished 1st place at these tournaments twice. Rohith has also competed in Spelling Bees yearly, and was the school champion gour times, and finished top 3 at the Regional Bee in 2019. Additionally, he was an active participant in his middle school debate team having finished first place at a local tournament as well as placing top 5 at these tournaments on two other occasions.
