10th grade at American Heritage Boca/Delray
Deeksha Kumaresh is a current sophomore at American Heritage. She founded BrightScore Academy to give back to a community that has helped her become who she is today. The opportunities that she was given as a child opened many doors for her to develop her interest in art, dance, science, and math. She aspires to do the same for other children.
Throughout middle school, Deeksha has held numerous leadership positions including vice-president of NJHS, co-organizer for mulitple charity events, and vice-president of FBLA. Deeksha was a semi-finalist for biolympiad in her freshman year and was a national finalist for invention convention. She has won multiple awards as a member of the math competition team and has also placed 8th in the nation for Math Kangaroo. In school, Deeksha has a 5.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). As part of a business program, she has also earned the CIW internet business associate (IBA) and site development associate (SDA) certification. Deeksha was the recipient of the CTE student of the month award and also earned a gold-level presidential award for volunteering.
